In general, that depends on how you are making your monthly payments. Note: If the additional payment is received before your monthly payment has been paid, then the funds will be applied towards the monthly payment first.
If you are currently making your monthly payments through Autopay, then you can log in to your Happy Money account and select the tab at the top that says "Make A Payment". From there you can enter the extra amount that you want to pay and the date that you want to make that payment.
- Please Note: This will not replace your regular monthly payment. The amount you enter will be in addition to your regularly scheduled Autopay, so please take that into consideration when you determine the amount.
If you currently manually make your monthly payments online in your Happy Money account, you can contact us to schedule an additional payment to be subtracted from your principal or you can send a check. Don’t forget to add ‘extra payment’ and your Loan ID to the memo line.
If you currently make your monthly payments by check, you can send your extra payments this way as well! Just add ‘extra payment’ in the memo with your Loan ID.
